Additionally, users may add comments or images for the Windchill team directly in Jira. The main difference is highest priority tickets in Jira will be reflected as “urgent” in Windchill.
In addition to requirements, users can also create PTC work items in Windchill RV&S and sync them to Jira. Similar details like description and project can be added to the work item. Users may also configure a parent-child relationship between work items and requirements. By entering their IDs, users may create a “forward” or “backward” relationship between work items and requirements. In Jira, a relationship between work items and requirements is reflected as “linked issues” under a task. Users may view which tasks are linked under the description. It should also be noted that item creation goes both ways. For example, work items may be created in Jira, and then synced to Windchill.
