Sometimes finding the information you want for IBM Rational ClearQuest can be a challenge — and when you find something, it can be that the level of detail needed is not present. That’s why we at SPK and Associates started this series of technical how to guides to share, in detail, how to perform common (and some not so common) administrative tasks for the IBM Rational tools group — one of many in our broad list of engineering technology and vendor competencies.

Today’s topic is how to upgrade the feature level of a ClearQuest database using an example of upgrading a ClearQuest database to feature level 7. It’s not an overly difficult task, but there are a few areas where it’s possible to misunderstand and make a mistake.

Hopefully our free how to guide can fill any gaps in knowledge which might prevent a successful ClearQuest feature level upgrade. Check back later and let us know what you thought about this write-up on ClearQuest feature levels!
